Turbulence by E.J. Noyes

My Review

This wasn’t the story I was expecting when I started ‘Turbulence’ but I must say it really caught me hook, line and sinker and I could’t put it down.

Isabelle Rhodes is a very successful and wealthy co-owner of one of the best stockbroking companies in New York. She travels frequently and when her new pilot on her private jet, Audrey Graham, also turns out to be the one night stand from the night before, she starts to panic. Isabelle cannot stop thinking about Audrey and their night together and it seems Audrey can’t either. They formulate a no strings arrangement but when the chemistry is this good, is it every that easy?

The book is written completely in from Isabelle’s point of view. This style is not always my favourite style of writing but E.J Noyes seems to really nail it just like she did in her debut novel, Ask. Tell. The novel is written at a steady pace and at no point did I want to rush through a scene because every part of the book compliments the next emotional break through for the characters.

I really connected with both the characters in the book but especially Audrey. She was everything someone like Isabelle needs – Loyal, loving, forthright but also edgy and wears her heart on her sleeve. The chemistry between these two is evident from the first chapter and grows throughout each scene together. The sex scenes where sometimes hot and sexy and other times, sensual and sweet.

I can’t wait to see what’s next from EJ Noyes. 5 stars
