Shattered by Lee Winter

What more do you need in a book when you have a Lesbian superhero, hot sex and a brilliant story that enthrals you.

What was the book about?:
Imagine that a large group of aliens land on earth over 100 years ago. Superheros aka Guardians abound and are kept in check by a secret elite group of trackers and of those Lena Martin is the best. Code name Silver, she is able to track and bring back any rogue Guardian not toeing the line of the agreement that was signed those many years ago. Lena has been assigned to find and bring back Shattergirl, the Earth’s first black lesbian superhero. This book is essentially a love story but not in the regular way of one. It’s a story of realising that you are better than you think you are, that you are capable of love and giving love even when you think everything is lost or you aren’t worthy. There is a white crow out there!

Featured Tropes: Superhero, enemies to lovers

Book Strengths:
As I read, I was wishing that there were Guardians like this in the real world. What we would give to have a black, lesbian superhero save us from some of the predicaments we find ourselves in the world today. I loved the interaction between the two main characters, Lena and Nyah. Also, it’s a Lee Winter novel and it is very well written.

Character Chemistry: Hot, brilliant and mind blowing!

Heat Rating: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Conclusion: I loved this book. I can’t help thinking what is happening with Lena and Nyah now.

Star Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
