Outside the Law by Carsen Taite

Crime, mayhem and a second chance at love

What was the book about?
This is the final book in the series so please read the others first to get the full enjoyment of them all.

Tanner Cohen and Sydney Braswell haven’t seen each other for 10 years since their relationship ended. Their plans for the future went on separate courses and which culminates in their meeting at a briefing at the US Attorney’s office. The task force is moving towards solving the crimes and finishing of the control the Cartel. In the middle of this Tanner and Sydney must find a way to work together and not jeopardise the outcome. All the characters of the series are here and their individual roles in the story are brought together really well in this final book.

Featured Tropes: Intrigue, crime, second chances

Book Strengths:
As with all Carsen’s books, her characters are lifelike, and you feel like you know them after you have finished reading. Both Tanner and Sydney are flawed but aren’t we all, and it’s their courage and strength that gets them through.

Character Chemistry:
The tension and attraction between Tanner and Sydney burn the page it’s so hot! I would like to say that they are my favourite characters of the series…well yes, they are my favourite. What better to have a second chance at love for the right reasons!

Heat Rating: 4.5

Wrap up:
Ok I know I have said this before, but I am a massive fan of Carsen Taite.
Do yourselves a favour and go out and get the whole series. You will not regret one word.
