Romance, Wales and little bit of supernatural
What was the book about?
Let me start by saying that this is the first book I have read by Patricia Evans Cox and after I finish writing this review, I am going to buy anything else she has written. Ok now that’s out of the way on to the review.
Aisling Moss and Finn Morgan couldn’t be from more different worlds. From London, Aisling has just experience what could be the worst day of her life and her career in wedding planning has officially gone down the drain. Finn, an ex-boxer who works in a diner in Brooklyn, has come to the conclusion that sleeping with the boss’s wife is not the best career move. The two women have been summoned to a tiny village in Wales as the behest of a lawyer on behalf of their recently departed grandmothers. At the lawyer’s office, Aisling and Finn are given an ultimatum that could change their lives if they choose.
I loved these two main characters; they were real to me. The village of Cwylldbridge made me wish I could live in it or at least visit. All the minor characters within the story played their part in making the novel richer.
The connection between Aisling and Finn is off the charts. From the beginning they were drawn to each other and the bet they had between themselves as to who would give in first is fantastic. Finn is wonderfully butch as Aisling is brilliantly femme. They complement each other and they are most definitely not cardboard cut-outs of characters. The reader is drawn in and you want them to succeed in both life and love.

Two vibrant characters, the beautiful countryside of Wales, a little bit of the supernatural, and a whole lot of love and fun.
